Island Site - Bloor Homes, Little Paxton

The site of this planned residential development was a former paper mill built on an ‘island’ within the River Great Ouse. The island consisted of several natural small islands divided by channels, which were subsequently in-filled prior to construction of the paper mill. 

Rolton Group carried out a full intrusive site investigation, including assessment and reporting, as well as the production of a remediation specification and validation of the works. Our remit also included recommendations for the foundation and infrastructure design for the development and the full design of the foundations.
