Peter Rolton has been Elected onto ‘The Renewables Advisory Board’ at the Department of Trade and Industry
Peter Rolton’s new appointment involves assisting the Government in its efforts and directions towards its low carbon objectives in both the built and to be built environments.
The Minister said ‘The Renewables Advisory Board provides an invaluable forum for discussion between industry and Government. The advice and insight it gives is particularly useful as we work toward our aim, set out in the Energy review, of a five-fold increase in the UK’s renewables capacity.
I believe we now have a Board that provides a breadth and depth of experience across the range of renewable energy technologies. I am particularly pleased to see a strengthening of expertise in the microgeneration and zero carbon homes sectors.’
Peter Rolton says ‘Our Industry will need to radically change in the near future and our skills will be in high demand if Government objective rates are to be achieved.’
