St John Fisher Roman Catholic School - School Refurbishment Plans Submitted

Planning approval for the £12.9 million refurbishment of the Peterborough school has been formally submitted to the city council.

The huge project, at St John Fisher Roman Catholic School, will see part of the current building demolished and new music, drama and ICT facilities created.

There will also be many new and improved classrooms, a sports centre and an all-weather pitch.

The new works takes the form of a New Build Sports Hall, New Build two storey teaching block, and refurbished / remodelled areas of the existing structures.

The school in Park Lane, Peterborough, is being revamped as part of Peterborough City Council’s Secondary Schools Review – a major programme to improve educational standards and facilities across the city.

Rolton Group has been involved in this project since July / August 2006 as the Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Consultants working through RIBA Stages B, C and D.

St John Fisher Roman Catholic School is a high profile project in the Peterborough area as the school is set to increase in size quite significantly.

The school is currently progressing from RIBA Stage D to RIBA Stage E.
