At Rolton Group we are in a unique position to help organisations understand we challenges and opportunities that the new Energy Landscape represents.
Peter Rolton the CEO of the Rolton Group has for the past 3 years held a non political appointment as a technical advisor to the office of the Secretary of State first for Energy and more recently Energy and Climate Change. Currently Ed Milliband.
Peter sits as a member of the Renewable’s advisory board RAB a panel of experts drawn from across the whole renewable’s spectrum. As a member of RAB he helps the Civil Services understand the issues and tensions around policy formation and helps to shape the policies that drive the renewable and low carbon business sectors. RAB meets directly with the SOS to discuss policy once a quarter.
This role which is unpaid but us in the position of understanding the direction that government policy is taking and a deep knowledge of how to maximise the commercial opportunities that the policies are being brought in to encourage. Already we are providing Strategic Energy advice to major UK businesses and stakeholders enabling them to position there business to safe guard it future existence and profitability.
All major UK business and stakeholders in the privet and public sector should have an Energy Strategy in place.
An Energy Strategy is not the same as energy efficacy, carbon management or even effective energy procurement.
Understanding how the many government policies interact and will affect a business creating opportunities are key to the delivery of an effective energy strategy.
