Rolton is an established, award-winning, professional multi-disciplinary engineering practice with a passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability.
Throughout every project, we use our construction and engineering experience and our knowledge of the client’s business to add value. Our multi-disciplinary teams work alongside clients and developers.
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join an existing structural engineering team at Rolton, which provides support to a number of Blue-Chip International Brands for projects primarily within the automotive, commercial, industrial, retail, education and residential sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible, under the leadership of the Associate Director, for the internal day-to-day management of small to medium-scale projects and the engineering solutions for numerous schemes for clients across a range of sectors. The ability to operate as part of a wider project team and to represent the company with confidence to a variety of clients and outside organisations is required for the role. The candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative and to coordinate their work with others, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
As such, there must be demonstrable technical ability in design of the core structural materials: steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber. Good communication skills, report writing ability, working capability with AutoCAD, experience with Eurocodes and knowledge of software design packages (TEKLA, TEDDS) are essential.
Familiarity with Revit and Navisworks is beneficial but not essential, and training can be provided if suitable and appropriate in line with regular Personal Development Review (PDR).
A self-motivated person will have ample opportunity to improve their knowledge, skills, experience and to work with some of the world’s greatest businesses across a wide range of industry sectors. The role will suit a candidate with a minimum of Three [3] – Five [5] years relevant post-graduate experience and pursuing their Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Structural Engineers.
In this respect, an internal mentoring and fully funded training Programme aimed at supporting the individual’s progression to Chartered Engineer status, will be provided. This is an exciting opportunity to progress in a consultancy that is ‘Engineering the Future’.

We celebrate our inclusive and diverse work environment and encourage all people irrespective of age, sex, marital status, pregnancy and maternity status, disability, sexual orientation, gender, race, colour, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, to apply.
