Charity bike ride update

We are extremely pleased to report that the London to Paris cycling team made it into the French capital on Saturday, getting there in time to watch the final leg of the Tour de France.

Injuries were sustained along the way and an IV drip was called for at one stage of the journey, but in spite of severe heat exhaustion the goal was reached and the charity ride completed. The team raised tens of thousands of pounds for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Restart Rugby, and they can be exceptionally proud of their achievements.

Andrew has been keeping us regularly updated throughout the trip, and said 'it was very hard work up hills, as the bike didn't have any gears; it was also rediculously hot, reaching 35 degrees at one point, and I'm now walking like John Wayne after 7 hours a day in the saddle! Other than that, it was an absolute blast from start to finish. Many thanks to the Rolton Group for their generous support and sponsorship.'

Now that the hard part is over, we hope that he and the team are getting the rest and relaxation that they undoubtedly deserve!

If you would like to congratulate the cyclists, there is still time to donate at:
