Jaguar Land Rover, Halewood Press Shop

A clear demonstration of this commitment is the £45 million investment made by the prestigious brand in a new state-of-the-art press line at its Halewood site, for which the Rolton Group provided project management, civil, structural, geotechnical and lead design services.

The press shop is among the largest in Britain, covering a vast 30,000m2 area. The most intensive press line has a staggering capacity of 1,000 tonnes, and the press shop is in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week to create parts for Jaguar Land Rover’s iconic vehicles.

The removal of ground and basement floor areas and elevation of the roof by 10 metres was required to make room for the new equipment within the confined site, but the project was completed on budget and a week ahead of schedule following the promotion of a construction procurement method by the Rolton team.

Richard Else, Operations Director at the Halewood site, says:
