Promotions at Rolton Group

With 2017 promising greater prospects than ever and shaping up to be an excellent year already, we’re delighted to announce a number of promotions within our team.

Yvonne Nowak - Project Engineer (Mechanical)

Recently promoted to the position of Project Engineer within the mechanical and electrical engineering team, Yvonne will be stepping up to take on more responsibility and have greater involvement in the progress and management of projects as a whole.

Yvonne first joined Rolton Group in May 2014 as a Graduate Engineer after completing her M.Sc. in Energy and Environmental Engineering. Throughout the previous two years she has worked through her graduate programme with Rolton Group, where she was closely mentored by the senior management team, Matt Colebrook and Scott Smith to enhance skills, receive training and develop professionally – support that continues and is offered to all employees throughout their careers with Rolton Group.

Delighted about her recent promotion, Yvonne said: “I am very pleased to have been promoted to this new position and I am excited to become more independent and autonomous in my day-to-day work. I am also looking forward to learning new skills and more about how my role contributes to the industry.”

Eoghan Lodge – Project Engineer (Structural)

Beginning life at Rolton Group as a Graduate Engineer in October 2014 after completing his degree at the Cork Institute of Technology University, Eoghan has been promoted to the position of Project Engineer. This promotion will progress Eoghan’s professional development by offering many opportunities to run and manage the resources for projects within the structural engineering team.

With degrees including a BEng (Ord) in Civil Engineering, a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering and a Masters in Structural Engineering, Eoghan has built on his knowledge and experiences over the last two years, honing his skills to be successfully responsible for the completion of structural calculations and reports for the structural engineering team at Rolton Group. His dedication and superb engineering capabilities will no doubt be a great asset in his new job role.

Eoghan expressed about his recent promotion: “I am delighted with the promotion and am looking forward to the new challenges it presents.”

Jonathan Sampson – Project Engineer (Renewables)

Jonny first joined Rolton Group on a part-time basis in September 2014, whilst completing his Masters in Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of Exeter. Since completing his M.Eng (Hons) in 2015, Jonny has joined the company full time producing energy strategies for some of the UK’s most intensive energy users.

The promotion to Project Renewable Engineer allows Jonny to lead his own projects and continue his duties of; analysing electricity and gas consumption data and making subsequent recommendations for areas of energy efficiency improvements, the possible implementation of renewable generation schemes and understanding how well a site can support future growth from an energy perspective.

Delighted to see his continued hard work paying off, Jonny said: “I am very excited to deal with and lead my own projects, with the increased responsibility and associated challenges. It is thrilling to have progressed within three years from an Undergraduate Engineer to a Project Engineer, with my aim to becoming chartered getting closer!”

Tracey Mehew – Senior Team Administrator

Tracey joined Rolton Group in 2005 as Team Administrator. She has an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, and quickly became a vital part of the daily running of the business, building up responsibility for the administration of many large projects and overseeing the civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical departments over the years as well as looking after the company’s fleet of cars.

Being the “go-to” contact for so many staff at Rolton Group, we’re delighted to announce Tracey’s well-earned promotion to the role of Senior Team Administrator. Her new role will see her responsible for all of the Team Administrators across Rolton Group, supporting them in daily tasks, providing training and guidance where needed, as well as nurturing the professional growth of individuals and progressing operational development of her team’s role as new challenges arise.

Excited to lead and develop Rolton Group’s team of administrators, Tracey said: “I am delighted with the promotion, I feel very fortunate to be part of such a hard working team and I look forward to the challenges my new role will bring.”
