Shortlisted as Consultancy of the Year 2017

We are delighted to announce that Rolton Group have been shortlisted as ‘Consultancy of the Year’ for the second year running at the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards.

The BusinessGreen Leaders Awards mark their 10th anniversary this year, celebrating the progress made by the UK’s green business community in sustainable business models and clean technologies delivered throughout many industry sectors today. The awards provide recognition for many business leaders that consistently enhance corporate and public consideration for the environment, and actively reduce carbon footprints and harmful environmental impacts as a key consideration within their projects, teams and organisations.

The ‘Consultancy of the Year’ category is judged with many factors in mind, including green consultancy services offered, promotion of sustainable behaviour, evidence of consultancy reducing environmental impacts and reducing our own environmental impacts. As a team, we frequently help our clients assess energy consumption and what efficiency measures can be taken, as well as delivering strategic analysis of current and future energy requirements to help identify and address energy concerns to ensure the successful ongoing operation and development of sites well into the future.

While delivering valuable advice and significant carbon savings for an array of clients, Rolton Group further shape the wider debate as thought-leaders on the future of low carbon economy, promoting the importance of organisations planning ahead and understanding and managing their energy demand and consumption, together with the reliance on grid supplies. Our team deliver professional comment wherever possible for many well-respected publications (such as Utility Week, New Power, The Engineer and CIBSE Journal) and raise awareness of key topics such as energy management and the impact of electric vehicles on the built environment through the production of white papers. Additionally, late last year our team provided responses to Leaving the EU: implications for UK energy policy” inquiry and we continue to conduct further research into the practicalities of electric vehicle ownership following trials with hybrid EV.

Graham Waring, Director and leader of the energy team at Rolton Group, said:

“We are really pleased to be shortlisted for ‘Consultancy of the Year’ at the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards again this year! It’s great to be recognised for the work we do helping our clients understand and manage energy demand and consumption more effectively, for individual projects as well as in producing strategic energy masterplans for specific sites and across estates portfolios. We also take great pride in reducing our own environmental footprint and look forward to seeing the range of talent and expertise displayed at the awards ceremony.”

Other finalists within the ‘Consultancy of the Year’ category include AECOM, Carbon Limiting Technologies, Eight Associates, Greenshoot and Syzygy Renewables, and the winner will be announced on the night of the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards ceremony in June.

Good luck to all finalists for the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2017!
