Celebrating our new home in Peterborough

There is much to celebrate and on Wednesday evening, our Peterborough team held a special event to celebrate their new office and their many successes in recent years.

Peter Rolton, Chariman said,

“The opening of our new Peterborough office marks the latest milestone in Rolton Group’s successful 35 year history. We’re continuing to create local jobs to serve our market-leading, national clients. Our continued success is testament to our team’s reputation of providing professional engineering advice, strategy and implementation across a wide range of industry sectors. We look forward to expanding the team in Peterborough further over the coming years.”

The complete office refurbishment, undertaken by the team before moving in, showcases some of Rolton Group’s energy expertise, featuring the latest energy saving technologies, including high efficiency LED lighting, complete with smart control and daylight dimming, and a heat recovery fresh air ventilation system. With so many happy memories in the old office at Minerva Business Park and with such fantastic connections in the city, the team knew they wanted to stay in Peterborough when searching for the perfect new office to grow into.

Councillor John Holdich OBE said,

“Peterborough has a long history of successful engineering firms so it's fantastic to see Rolton Group continue to go from strength to strength. Not only are they working with major household names on innovative engineering projects they are also investing in training up the next generation. I wish the company and all of their staff the very best in their new home and to a bright future.”

On the night, we had the opportunity to share our successes and several of our guests were personnally shown some of our latest 3D models from recent projects by our team. Excellent speeches were made by Director Craig Smith, Councillor John Holdich OBE and Chairman Peter Rolton. Councillor Holdich very kindly took part in an unveiling ceremony to reveal our new commemorative office sign and Peter presented Craig with a very special sign of his own!

"We continue to look forward and importantly, stay positive, focussed and determined to continue our growth in what may be some challenging times ahead. We look forward to being part of Peterborough’s exciting future plans to deliver a dynamic sustainable city of the future.

This event and milestone marks the continued expansion of Rolton Group. We’re proud to now employ over 80 employees across three offices and to meet ever-growing demands, we continue to place great emphasis on supporting and training the next generation of engineers. We have taken on 12 graduates and three apprentices over the past year.

We have achieved continued growth year on year, most recently experiencing from a 13% increase in annual turnover and multiple new client wins, including the UK’s fourth largest supermarket, Morrisons.
