Another spectacular new car dealership officially opens

Following the recent opening of a new car dealership in Erdington, we are delighted to see another Mercedes-Benz dealership open in Stockport, for which Rolton Group provided civil and structural engineering design services.

LSH Auto Properties (UK) Limited recently opened their new purpose built three-storey car dealership in Stockport. It is one of the largest car showrooms in Europe and will form LSH Auto Properties (UK) Limited’s central hub for the Manchester area. The new facility, which is made up of two separate buildings, has the capacity to display over 140 vehicles in the showroom and has 32 workshop bays in the body and paint repair centre.

In addition to showcasing 30 brand new Mercedes-Benz models and having a dedicated Mercedes-Benz AMG suite, over 100 approved used vehicles will also be on display. Other facilitates within the development are various office spaces (including multiple meeting rooms and a cinema style meeting room), a licenced bistro (serving breakfast and lunch), dedicated event space and a garden. Continuing with the green theme, the new facility also has a living green wall, outdoor roof-top terrace and a contemporary water feature at the entrance to the building.

Project Leader and Rolton Group Director, Andrew Chisem said of the occasion:

“This was a challenging project with a tight timescale on a difficult brownfield site. However, the team worked with a collaborative approach and were able to solve all of the problems that we faced. Through strong teamwork, good communication and actively engaging with the statutory authorities (Highways England and United Utilities), we were able to successfully deliver this exciting project. ”

In addition to the civil and structural works provided at Stockport and Erdington, our team have also provided engineering support at the new LSH Auto Properties (UK) Limited headquarters in Solihull (up to RIBA Stage 3), as well as providing advice following an electric vehicles (EV) impact assessment by our energy team. The EV impact assessment considered what the introduction of EV charging points will have on the power demands at the new developments in Stockport, Erdington and Solihull and helped develop an appropriate solution for the future.
