Promotions - October, 2022

We are pleased to announce three internal promotions, effective 1st October ‘22, with one at Senior Management Team (SMT) level.

Andy Coghlin – Associate Director (Geotechnical)

Andy recently joined us back in March, 2022 as an Associate Director (Designate), responsible for leading the Geotechnical service line.
Being a Chartered Geologist with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Andy has an impressive track record working on a wide variety of projects across the UK. From small, complex sites to major, multi-million-pound schemes, his geotechnical and geo-environmental expertise have helped enable and deliver projects for both private and public sector clients in sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial and residential.

Dave Thompson – Senior Engineer (Strategic Energy)

Dave first joined us as a Graduate back in 2018. Since then, Dave has become an integral part of the Strategic Energy service line, delivering energy and carbon related advice to local authorities, enterprise partnerships and city councils as well as large private companies, such as Legal & General and Power by Britishvolt. Dave has also been leading his teams’ involvement in West Midlands Interchange, the biggest logistics development in the UK.
Now a Senior Engineer, Dave will continue to develop and take on further responsibility for service delivery and client management.

Jonathan Waters – Senior Engineer (Structural)

Jonathan joined us as a Graduate upon leaving University back in 2017. Just over five years later, Jonathan is now an integral member of the Structural service line, taking ownership on a variety of schemes, specifically from the residential sector. Jonathan also developed the foundation’s standards and company standards for us.
In his new role as Senior Engineer, Jonathan will now have greater client interaction and responsibility to run projects with autonomy, something he has demonstrated already in the past 12 months.

‘Jonathan has become an essential member of the Structural service line, he has gained the respect from his fellow engineers and we look forward to seeing his further progression in future.
