Delivering on our national growth plans for the business Rolton have established a London office at 1 Poultry to support clients and the development of the London office market.
Chairman, Peter Rolton commented “this expansion is in line with our strategy to support our clients and to develop the reach of the business from its Peterborough, Higham Ferrers, Birmingham and Newcastle base to the development of a new office in London”.
Andrew Dellow has joined us as Executive director responsible for Strategic Energy, Utilities and Mechanical & Electrical and he is leading the drive to expand the business in the capital. Andrew’s focus for more than twenty years has been primarily in the commercial office sector. Andrew has proven track record of building relationships with blue chip clients, delivering projects nationally and internationally and developing high performing teams to delivery for clients. He believes in building long-term relationships and has a true passion for sustainability.
Our view is that in the office market we should be optimistic about the opportunities yet realistic about the challenges faced by clients. Head winds continue to impact the office market at a macro level. While there is a drive for better office accommodation at the top end and a requirement for more space to work in new ways, it’s a different story at class B & C levels.
Andrew commented: “The quality of the office market below prime is poor with underinvestment in renewal creating a legacy of poor stock at a time when the market has over supply. It’s certainly a challenging time for clients with a mixed portfolio of assets. This all presents two opportunities for advisors and engineers. First, at the top end there is a need for the development of specialist space and the skills to do this should not be underestimated. At the other end of the scale there is a need for repurposing and for energy strategies that can bring value to the client’s office stock. Rolton offer clients a commercial, value-added approach to developing future office strategies”.
To support this development Rolton have recently been accepted as new members of the British Council of Offices, following Andrew Dellow’s previous membership of 20 years. Getting actively involved in its programme and network gives Rolton an opportunity to support the sector and also learn from peers. Andrew is looking forward to introducing his colleagues to the network.
