Encouraging new talent into the engineering sector is something we at Rolton Group take very seriously; our apprenticeship programmes, year-out placements and sponsored degrees at both undergraduate and postgraduate level are some of the ways in which we encourage entry to the profession.

We are also proud to take part in a number of outreach programmes throughout the year during which students gain valuable insight into what the industry is like through direct interaction with our staff.

Alongside these initiatives we also sponsor a number of awards for gifted students at all levels of their academic careers, and it is with great pleasure that Rolton Group can today announce its participation in this year’s Arkwright Scholarship programme, which is the most prestigious scheme of its type in the UK. It is differentiated by its sole focus on engineering and technical design, encouraging the pursuit of STEM subjects for high-calibre students about to embark on their A-levels.

We are delighted to be sponsoring an exceptional student who has just completed her GCSEs with very impressive grades, and will be offering her many opportunities to undertake varied work placements, enabling her to explore different areas of engineering and to decide which specialism she would like to focus on in later study.

We will be attending the Arkwright Engineering Scholarships Awards Ceremony in London at the end of the month, during which our student will be formally presented with her scholarship.

Rolton is pleased to have contributed to the newly launched industry report, ‘Built Environment Strategic Workforce Planning for 2030’.

The comprehensive publication stems from the latest INSPIRE event hosted by the Built Environment Futures Assembly (BEFA). This powerful leadership forum was established by the University of the Built Environment (UBE) to break down professional silos, spark collaboration, and drive excellence across engineering, construction, and real estate.
