Cyber threats and security breaches are a real issue for business in the UK, with the average security breach costing organisations around £1,500. A survey carried out by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, also found that larger firms in the UK could potentially face losses of around £20,000.

We are thrilled to announce that after being officially recognised for meeting the stringent requirements for the Cyber Essential certification, Rolton Group have now received upgraded recognition for the highest level of security: Cyber Essentials Plus.

One of the major cyber security issues is that as more of us connect multiple devices to the internet, attackers have more opportunity to strike. These threats are varied and adaptable and range from high volume opportunistic attacks, to highly sophisticated and persistent threats involving bespoke malware designed to compromise specific targets.

As a result, the UK government has made a commitment to make the UK a secure and resilient digital nation. They have introduced a new scheme: Cyber Essentials, which details the basic controls all organisations should implement to mitigate the risk from a range of internet based threats.

IT and Data Manager, Helen Rolton said of the occasion,

“We are delighted to see that our ongoing high level investment in the latest IT software and hardware infrastructure has been recognised as meeting the highest industry standards.”
