We’re pleased to confirm that our Chairman Peter Rolton has been featured in the November issue of the CIBSE Journal (page 26), in an article discussing the future of the UK’s engineering sector following the EU referendum.

Peter shares his thoughts on the concerns held by the industry as a result of the UK’s vote to leave the EU and describes how this shift may affect future research and funding for the engineering sector in the UK, among other important factors which will need to be considered carefully when engineering our post-Brexit future.

Alongside the concerns, in this piece Peter also discusses what the engineering industry should be working towards in order to overcome the challenges that Brexit has presented, to ensure that as a newly independent nation, the UK maintains competitiveness within the global market.

The comprehensive publication stems from the latest INSPIRE event hosted by the Built Environment Futures Assembly (BEFA). This powerful leadership forum was established by the University of the Built Environment (UBE) to break down professional silos, spark collaboration, and drive excellence across engineering, construction, and real estate.
