We are delighted to announce that the Bacton Low Rise Project for the London Borough of Camden has won another prestigious award.

Phase one of the £65million development located in central London has received a Commendation at the 2018 Civic Trust Awards. The project, which comprises 290 residential units, three employment units, three retail units and new open space including a triangular courtyard complete with children’s play area, has been commended for creating a safer and friendlier neighbourhood where community spirit has been retained, whilst making a significant contribution to the quality and appearance of the built environment.

Rolton Group provided civil, structural, geotechnical, energy, mechanical and electrical engineering design services on phase one of Bacton Low Rise, which goes beyond a traditional redevelopment project – it has been noted as a superlative example of rigorous and genuine community engagement.

The Civic Trust Awards commendation is the latest in a long list of accolades that this project has received, having previously won the Building Awards 2016 Housing Project of the Year in addition to being shortlisted for numerous awards including the British Construction Industry Awards 2016, the Housing Design Awards 2016 and the Sunday Times British Homes Awards 2016.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this exemplary project and to all the other winners of this year’s Civic Trust Awards.
