On Sunday 17th May 2015, Rolton Group participated in this year’s FunFest which had been organised and held in support of the Rotary Club of Rushden Higham, Rushden Round Table and Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

The fun filled event was held at Rushden and Higham Rugby Club from 1pm onwards. This is the second year running which Rolton Group have supported and participated in the FunFest, and it was the perfect team building challenge and entertainment event for all of our colleagues.

The annual event which is organised by the charities incorporates ‘It’s a knockout’ challenging obstacle course and a fun run with giant inflatables, backdrops, obstacles and props. Teams had been made up of 6-10 members and 16 teams had entered in total from around Rushden and Higham Ferrers. There were six challenging games which we took part in including a foam pit and dressing up in a Teletubbies outfit to name a few. Rolton Group resulted in sixth position, congratulating Prestige Printing Irchester who attained first place.

In addition there were a number of stalls, a BBQ throughout the day and a thirty prize raffle draw. For many it was a great family day out whether they were participating or supporting the Rolton Group team. Above photo shows our participating team.

Rolton is pleased to have contributed to the newly launched industry report, ‘Built Environment Strategic Workforce Planning for 2030’.

The comprehensive publication stems from the latest INSPIRE event hosted by the Built Environment Futures Assembly (BEFA). This powerful leadership forum was established by the University of the Built Environment (UBE) to break down professional silos, spark collaboration, and drive excellence across engineering, construction, and real estate.
