On Sunday 21st May 2017, members of the Rolton Group team participated in the annual Funfest event held at Rushden & Higham Rugby Club. The event is in support of local charities Cynthia Spencer Hospice, the Rotary Club of Rushden and Higham, and Rushden Round Table.

This fun-filled annual community event (organised by the above charities) welcomed teams to take part in the ‘It’s a knockout’ obstacle course and fun run, featuring giant inflatables, obstacles and props. On the day there were 22 teams taking part in the ‘It’s a knockout’ course, made up of 6-10 team members from around the local area. There were seven rounds of team-building games, involving a foam pit, soap suds, obstacle courses and many other challenging tasks for the teams to compete in.

In addition, there were a number of stalls, a BBQ throughout the day and a raffle prize draw, with plenty to see and do creating a great family fun day out for everyone. This was the third year running that Rolton Group have taken part in this event for very worthwhile causes and we are pleased to say that our team placed 7th overall on the day.

Around £13,000 has been raised thanks to this year’s event to date, with additional sponsorship money still being collected – a record-breaking figure for the event.

Great efforts made by everyone involved – we can’t wait for next year!
