On Sunday 20th May 2018, members of the Rolton Group took part in Funfest to support Cynthia Spencer Hospice, the Rotary Club of Rushden Chichele and the Rushden Round Table.

The “It’s a Knockout” style course saw the team negotiate giant inflatables, dress in ridiculous costumes including penguins and teletubbies and get very wet in the process. This year 15 local teams took part in the seven round competition and we are delighted to say that we improved on last year’s result by finishing in 6th place.

Highlights included Graduate Engineer Jonny Waters dressed as a penguin and Graduate Engineer Aram Abdullah’s incredible assembly skills when trying to put different parts together to make a cube – something the rest of the team struggled with!

In addition to the course itself, there was lots of entertainment for those supporting including many trade stalls, games stalls and a bouncy castle for the children who came along, as well as plenty of choices of food and drink throughout the day

To date almost £7,000 has been raised this year, with additional sponsorship still being collected.

A huge thank you to everyone from Rolton Group who took part, and to those who came along to support such a fantastic day!
