The Board of Directors would like to pass on the warmest of congratulations to Grace Wright, who has been promoted to Project Engineer.
Grace joined Rolton Group in 2015 as a summer placement student after her first year at university. Having impressed over the summer, she continued to work during the Christmas and summer holidays whilst she completed her undergraduate degree in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at the University of Derby, for which Rolton Group sponsored her second and third year.
Upon completing her Bachelor’s degree in July 2017, Grace joined Rolton Group full time as a Graduate Engineer. Grace is an integral part of the structural team and during her time at Rolton Group, she has worked on many projects for a variety of clients including Jaguar Land Rover, Barratt David Wilson, Morrisons and LSH Auto Properties (UK) Limited. Additionally, since returning Grace has also been undertaking her Master’s degree which has been sponsored by Rolton Group, in Structural Engineering at the University of Birmingham, which she is set to complete in September this year.
Delighted by the news of her promotion from Graduate to Project Engineer, Grace said,
“Thank you to all those who have supported me in achieving this promotion, I am looking forward to taking on more responsibility and the new challenges I shall face.”
In her new role, Grace will be focusing on building stronger relationships with clients, as she attends more meetings and site visits independently. She will also become the day-to-day contact for some of our projects, including the works we are undertaking at Morrisons, as well as having more responsibility on some of our larger jobs, working alongside the senior engineer to develop the designs. These responsibilities in Grace’s new role will also help contribute to her portfolio of works which she is building in order to achieve her next goal of becoming a Chartered Engineer.
