Associate Director Matt Colebrook has appeared in the June edition of CIBSE, expressing his thoughts on the implementation of BIM Level 2 across the building services industry.

The article discusses the implementation and wider strategy around BIM Level 2, following the 4th April deadline for the introduction of the technology on public sector projects. It states that generally, there is a high level of optimism about BIM and the adoption rates are gradually increasing. However, smaller firms are struggling to invest, due to having fewer available resources. The industry also needs a strategy to deal with the digitisation of jobs.

Matt talks about Rolton Group’s experience, as an SME, of enforcing BIM; he also highlights the need for more client engagement but acknowledges a changing culture around project teams, thanks to the emergence of the technology.
