This summer, Rolton Group has participated in a number of initiatives to encourage young people towards a career in professional engineering.

This has included attending, speaking at, and hosting various events during which we have answered questions, dispelled myths, and hopefully provided some insight into what it means to be an engineer. These events, enjoyable as they have been, have been organised to address a deeper underlying issue, namely the growing shortage of young professionals graduating with qualifications that could lead to a career in the sector. Without these engineers of the future, the landscape of the built environment will certainly suffer and we recognise that investing in this area is crucial not only in ensuring our future success but also that of the wider industry.

Part of our offering is a structured graduate training programme, which offers mentoring and guidance to individuals at the start of their career with us. Our commitment doesn’t end there, however, and we are pleased to announce that Rolton Group now offers a number of modern apprentice programmes to help young people to kick-start their careers within an educational framework supported by local colleges.

We are currently advertising Built Environment Engineering and Business Administration apprenticeships, both of which are available to view here. If you are an ambitious, career-minded person who is keen to make progress in a successful and growing consultancy, we want to hear from you!
