The Newlands shopping centre in Kettering is currently undergoing a significant phased renovation programme, which has been providing improvement in stages since 2012.

Rolton Group mechanical and electrical engineers were originally brought on board by the client to oversee the lighting aspect of the project, reviewing and commenting on the contractors’ design. Since then, we have also been appointed to provide engineering design services for the lighting in the centre’s atrium; this focal point of the redevelopment will be planned with consideration given to energy efficiency and reduction, utilising low-carbon LED lighting to create an aesthetic and economic solution.

Completion should be achieved by fourth quarter this year, and we look forward to seeing the finished article.
