PropTech Connect is the annual get together for the PropTech sector and is being held on 3 and 4 September at the InterContinental at The O2.

Traditionally a show of tech providers and real estate specialists the stakeholders interest group is expanding as tech creeps into all of property processes and practices.

This year Centreco, a UK leading commercial solar energy system design, installation and management organisation are exhibiting and sponsoring for the first time and have invited Rolton to partner in providing their thinking and content for two sessions focused on energy and technology, bringing thinking around this topic to the show.

The first session is a roundtable format titled “From Energy Efficiency to Profitability: Using Tech to Unlock the Full Value of Assets.” at 11am on 4 September and is hosted by Nick Wright, MD of OSH Advisory, with Peter Rolton, Chair of Rolton and David Stretch, Head of Customer Real Estate Solutions at Centreco, providing answers to key questions.

The roundtable will outline the macro energy issues companies face, portfolio operational efficiency strategies, opportunities to take control of supply and costs, better utilisation of alternative energy and the practical delivery powered by tech that is required to implement a programme.

The second session is a Fireside chat at 2.30pm on 4 September. This session is titled “Getting Behind the Meter – reducing costs and taking control of energy” where David will lead a talk with Peter focused on the issues developers have the cost and accessing power. This talk will highlight the opportunity to take control of power on the meter side of network, reducing risk costs. Peter will showcase a recent case study for Heyford Park for Dorchester Living and David will emphasise the key areas to think about for success.

Peter commended: “there is an important message to be communicated to property owners that they need to get involved in the conversation and thinking around energy costs and supply, taking control and reducing risk. Rolton is grateful to David Stretch and Centreco for brining Rolton into this forum and for the collaboration”.

David said: it’s been a pleasure to partner with Peter and his firm Rolton who provide the thinking that turn our solutions into reality for clients in terms of opportunities to reduce energy costs and deliver on net zero goals. We look forward to a great event and collaboration in the future.”
