As Executive Chairman and co-founder of Rolton he shapes client visions through expert advice with high level strategic insight. Peter has advised at ministerial level for three ministers and the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change during his time on the Renewables Advisory Board. His well-respected expertise guides Rolton’s mission to anticipate future trends towards Net Zero.

Through his work advising Government and working alongside technical advisors and NGO’s, Peter led a piece of work to create a data base for site finding across the UK. Identifying the most attractive pieces of land for power availability, grid connection, land size, planning, infrastructure etc. Peter understands key stakeholders, navigates local politics and supports developers to repurpose land for a large range of purposes from data centres to large scale industrial sites.

His motivation for driving growth within the sector is powered by his passion for uplifting the next generation. As a mentor he encourages professionals into networking opportunities, client relationship building and knowledge transfer from his valuable insight and lessons learnt. His commitment continues with Rolton’s scholarship programme at Northumbria University promoting women into engineering.

His effective client relationship management has kept Rolton at the forefront of powering the sector towards a more sustainable future.
