The three-storey extension and refiguration included a 10-screen IMAX cinema and created 77,000 sq. ft of new space at the Peterborough retail and leisure destination.
As well as the cinema, the development has nine new food and beverage units and two leisure units, as well as a bright central atrium. A new glazed bridge connects to the existing part of the Queensgate centre.
Remarkably, the centre remained open for the duration of the works programme, with Rolton collaborating with all key stakeholders to understand the needs of client and consumers. We also provided extensive technical advice for the control and exclusion of environmental hazards, building leakage and pressure testing to ensure compliance with building regulations.
Rolton is pleased to have contributed to the newly launched industry report, ‘Built Environment Strategic Workforce Planning for 2030’.
The comprehensive publication stems from the latest INSPIRE event hosted by the Built Environment Futures Assembly (BEFA). This powerful leadership forum was established by the University of the Built Environment (UBE) to break down professional silos, spark collaboration, and drive excellence across engineering, construction, and real estate.

We were delighted to attend the official opening of the new £9.4m County Mortuary at Riverside Business Park, a project that marks a transformative milestone for bereavement services and public infrastructure in Northamptonshire.
