Biography

One thing that sets us apart is that we are all so hands-on

Having begun his career in 1990, Paul Housego first joined the Rolton Group in 1995. Since then he has benefitted from being involved in a broad range of sectors, and has worked on projects ranging from Aston Martin Lagonda at Gaydon to a new sports hall for Stamford AFC. In the last few years he has focused in on the residential, education and automotive sectors, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge gained from his far-reaching experience.

"One thing that sets us apart here is that we are all so hands-on. It isn’t a case of the senior management team sitting up in an office away from the action, everyone has direct project involvement and this means we can bring so much more to the table for our clients."

Having worked in the industry for more than twenty years, Paul has a first-hand understanding of many aspects of engineering. For him though, picking a favourite is easy.

"For me it’s all about precision. The best part of what I do is getting involved with creating the right level of detail within the design to best fit project requirements, as this is where we create value for our clients. Value comes in various guises; we are all aware of direct economic factors but equally important is the consideration of a building’s lifecycle, and I enjoy the process of making sure every project we work on is viewed from this perspective."
