Castle Bromwich Plant is Unanimously Granted Planning Permission
Rolton Kilbride is delighted to announce that its renewable energy centre based at Fort Industrial Park, Castle Bromwich, which uses state of the art gasification technology, was recently granted planning permission unanimously by the Birmingham City Planning Committee.
The project is a collaboration between site owners, Legal and General and Rolton Kilbride, who have been brought in by Legal and General to develop and manage the site.
The facility will recover energy from non-hazardous residual waste in the form of heat and electricity. It will have the capacity to process up to 105,000 tonnes of waste each year, to produce sustainable power for commercial users across the local area. The proposals also include the construction of a new industrial/warehouse building to include storage and offices.
The planning committee was highly complimentary of the quality of planning documents submitted, the overwhelming merits and strengths of the technology and the quality of the consultation undertaken.
