Joe Pickering Achieves NEBOSH Qualification

Rolton Group supports the development of its staff where ever possible to develop their skills, whether it be through our graduate scheme, apprenticeships or sponsorship of students through their Masters or the Arkwright Scholarship programme.

Recently, Rolton Group's Joe Pickering expanded his skill set as he gained the National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health's (NEBOSH) General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

By achieving this qualification, it provides Joe with the opportunity to become a technical member if the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (TechIOSH). As well as this, Joe is now able to provide Rolton Group with advice to assist with health and safety matters for our onsite activities and duties under CDM2015 as designers and Principal Designers. Joe's achievement also makes the completion of external audits and accreditations applications more simple and robust and he is able to aid on the day to day running and maintenance of our office buildings.

Joe said on the occasion:

"To say I'm chuffed to bits with passing this would be a huge understatement. Overall, it has changed my view and approach to workplace safety both in, and out, of the office and has opened doors for my development within the business. Future plans are to become an IOSH member and also to complete the NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate, of which, without this qualification, neither would be possible."
