Rolton Group helps Laura with Electrical Engineering training

Peterborough-based Technical Administrator Laura Barker has enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BTEC course at Peterborough Regional College, with a little help from Rolton Group.

As a Technical Administrator, Laura has been taking care of the daily office needs and providing support to the engineering teams of Rolton Group's Peterborough office for around three years, but has now set her sights on becoming a fully qualified electrical engineer.

Helping staff further their professional development wherever possible is of the utmost importance to Rolton Group, whether it's through sponsorship of a staff member undertaking further education, our graduate scheme, providing apprenticeships, or supporting any other training and development in any way we can.

Laura, who has just started her course said: "I've been thinking about electrical engineering qualifications for a while, so I'm really looking forward to progressing with my course and learning more about the electrical engineering discipline.

"I'm so grateful for the sponsorship and support that I've received from my colleagues at Rolton Group in order to make this happen, and I'm so excited to be officially working towards becoming a fully qualified electrical engineer!"

On the course, Laura will be learning more about the fundamentals of electrical engineering, computer aided design and will also produce her own engineering project, all of which will be sure to help her progress along her new electrical engineering career path.
