New Lead Engineer for Rolton Group

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of our new Lead Engineer (Site), Eleanor Patterson.

Eleanor strengthens the Rolton Group team in her new role as a site-based Lead Engineer within our Structural service line, responsible for leading the construction stage monitoring team for key client Britishvolt’s £3.8bn Gigaplant project in Northumberland; a project which will deliver the UK’s first full-scale Gigaplant.

The rare opportunity to be involved with a project of national significance like Britishvolt’s Gigaplant feels like history in the making”, Eleanor shares. “I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed site-based roles and am looking forward to working closely with my new colleagues at Rolton Group and the wider team dedicated to delivering a UK first.”


A Chartered Engineer with extensive experience acquired from more than 20 years in the construction industry, Eleanor has an impressive track record having worked for some of the world’s leading engineering consultancies and helping to deliver several high-profile projects of national significance, including major schemes such as Hinkley Point C.
