Rolton Group Achieves Cyber Essentials Plus Certification

We’re pleased to confirm that Rolton Group is Cyber Essentials Plus certified again for 2023/24.

Our latest Cyber Essentials Plus certification follows our business successfully passing the Government-backed scheme’s[1] detailed assessments and a hands-on technical verification process for the sixth year in a row. This certification recognises that our practices and approach to cyber security provide a good level of protection against a wide variety of the most common cyber attacks, bringing peace of mind to clients and project partners whilst also enabling us to work on various public sector projects.

With around a third of all UK businesses (and 59% and 69% of medium and large businesses respectively) identifying a cyber attack within the last 12 months and rising average costs of such attacks,[2] cyber crime continues to be a considerable threat to all businesses. Threats are varied and adaptable, ranging from high volume opportunistic attacks like phishing attempts, to highly sophisticated and persistent attacks involving bespoke malware or ransomware designed to compromise specific targets.

Craig Smith, Managing Director of Rolton Group, said:

“As businesses and people rely more heavily on technology and online connectivity, the risk of cyber attacks and data breaches increases too. It’s a great achievement to have our commitment to cyber security and the continual improvement of our IT systems and infrastructure formally recognised once again as meeting the advanced industry standard of Cyber Essentials Plus. Well done and thank you to our hardworking IT team and all colleagues involved in upholding that standard.”
