Clayton Knevitt Promoted to Associate Director

We are delighted to announce that Clayton Knevitt has been promoted from Senior Engineer to Associate Director, and now oversees the structural engineering team in our Higham Ferrers office.

In his new role, Clayton will be working closely with the senior management team to continue the growth of Rolton Group’s structural team, as well as collaborating with other in-house disciplines to create integrated and efficient designs for new and existing clients across a range of sectors.

After graduating from Loughborough University in 2006, Clayton gained significant experience with a Midlands based engineering consultancy as a Graduate Engineer, eventually taking a position as Project Engineer with Rolton Group in 2011. Over time he has worked on a variety of projects of various sizes, whilst taking on more responsibility, to the extent that on a number of projects he became the key client contact. In 2015 Clayton was promoted to Senior Engineer, at which time he also began to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the structural team in Higham Ferrers.

Now an Associate Director, Clayton is looking forward to developing his existing relationships with industry professionals and clients, as well as cultivating new ones. Delighted by his promotion, Clayton said,

I’m excited and proud to be an Associate Director at Rolton Group, and I am looking forward to enhancing the service we deliver to our clients, as we continue to grow and develop our structural team. We have been enhancing our capabilities a lot in the last few years and I’m keen to keep taking advantage of new technologies and processes that will allow us to innovate further to benefit our clients.”

Clayton is an integral part of the structural team and has been involved in some of our biggest projects including the Advanced Thermal Treatment Facility in Hoddesdon and one of the biggest car showrooms in the UK for LSH Auto Properties (UK), totaling £50 million in construction cost. Additionally, he has played a significant part in influencing the company policy in relation to BIM, Revit and CAD standards.

Chairman, Peter Rolton said of the occasion,

Clayton is a hardworking and driven individual and has benefited from our excellent training and development programme. I am pleased to see him progress through the company and take on more responsibility, whilst continuing to work towards his Chartership. I want to take this opportunity to pass on the warmest of congratulations from everyone at Rolton Group to Clayton and I am sure he will be very successful in his new role.”
