Promotions - 2021

Rolton Group is delighted to announce five internal promotions, including two at Associate Director level, with the aim of strengthening our team and advancing our growth. The promotions, which were effective from January 4, 2021, are also consistent with our long history and culture of promoting from within and developing the individual.

Iain Nelson – Associate Director (Mechanical and Electrical)

Iain first joined Rolton Group almost 13 years ago as a Graduate Project Engineer and worked his way up through the business. He has gained extensive experience working on projects across sectors such as commercial, retail, education, leisure, health and residential, for clients such as Gleeds, Workman, Morris Homes, Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough, centre:mk, The Royal Opera House and Northwood Secondary School.

Iain is responsible for some of Rolton’s most prestigious projects, taking schemes from feasibility to final handover. Being promoted to Associate Director, Iain will take on additional responsibility within the mechanical and electrical team.

Delighted to see his continued hard work paying off, Iain said: “I am proud that I have been promoted to Associate Director having worked my way up through the business. It is a pleasure to be part of the Rolton Team."
Ewan Cross – Associate Director (Strategic Energy Consultancy)

Ewan began his life at Rolton Group in 2014 as a part of the Energy consultancy team and soon progressed to Senior Renewables Engineer where he provides strategic advice on energy generation, storage, distribution, energy management, efficiency and carbon management to some of the UK’s largest businesses.

The promotion will enable Ewan to input strategically into the internal workings of the business whilst he continues to provide energy advice to some of our most high profile and long-standing clients.

Excited by his new position, Ewan said: “I am very proud and grateful to have been given the opportunity to take up the role of an Associate Director with Rolton Group. The role represents an exciting opportunity to take a greater leadership role within the Business and I am very much looking forward to meeting the challenges that this presents.”
Jack Rolton – Assistant Technician

Recently promoted to the position of Assistant Technician in the mechanical and electrical engineering team, Jack will be stepping up to take on more responsibility and have greater involvement in assisting with larger scale projects.

Jack first joined Rolton Group as a Trainee Technician in the structural team back in 2017. For the past four years, Jack has demonstrated a continuous high level of commitment to work and superb work ethic. He is currently being sponsored to complete two qualifications simultaneously whilst developing his knowledge and skills in REVIT.

Jack expressed about his recent promotion: “I am really pleased by my promotion and look forward to the new challenges it presents, especially having input into many new and exciting projects that I am able to assist with."
Adam Nowak – Project Engineer (Structural)

Beginning his career at Rolton Group as a Graduate Engineer in November 2018 after completing his degree at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Adam has been promoted to the position of Project Engineer.

This promotion will progress Adams’s professional development by offering him many opportunities to run and manage the resources for projects within the structural engineering team.

Excited by his new promotion, Adam said: “I am happy to be promoted to my new position. It is a great opportunity to learn new skills and to improve my knowledge. There are many interesting and exciting projects within Rolton that I will be able to support whilst taking on more responsibility.”
Alex Field – Project Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical)

Having successfully completed our graduate programme over the last two years, Alex has now been promoted to Project Engineer in the MEP team. This promotion will enable Alex to take on more responsibility and challenges that leading projects entails, enabling him to develop his skills and knowledge whilst increasing ownership of projects over time.

Alex first joined Rolton Group as a Graduate Engineer in August 2018 after completing his degree in Building Services Engineering & Project Management at Liverpool John Moores University. He has since built on his knowledge and experience over the last two-and-a-half years which has enhanced his overall skill set.

Delighted by his recent promotion, Alex said: “I am very honoured to have been promoted to this new position so early in my career. It has taken a lot of hard work but I look forward to progressing further and growing into the role of a project engineer, which will no doubt push me to become a more independent and competent engineer.”

Chairman, Peter Rolton commented: “Despite the company having to operate from a 100% work from home model since March 2020, the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the individuals across Rolton Group has enabled the company to prosper through such dire times. Therefore, I am delighted to recognise the hard work and achievements of Iain, Ewan, Jack, Alex and Adam through their promotions. Congratulations to all."

We would also like to give a warm welcome to David Bell who recently joined our Peterborough office as Senior Engineer.
