Raffle Donation For The ExtraCare Charitable Trust

Every year, the Head Office team at The ExtraCare Charitable Trust organise a charity raffle, encouraging all of their colleagues, contacts, residents and friends to participate for a bit of fun and the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Drawn at the Head Office staff event in December, the total raised through raffle ticket sales for 2021 was £974. Lucky winners took home an impressive range of prizes, including Tom Grennan gig tickets, a one-week Holiday Apartment Stay, vouchers for various shops and retail outlets, novelty gifts, confectionary and alcohol.

With 21 retirement homes and villages across the Midlands and North of England, two locations are drawn at random at the staff event to share the money raised via the raffle. This year, Sunley Court in Kettering, Northamptonshire and Hughenden Gardens Village in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire shared the funds, which locations typically spend on trips, items for communal use, or towards projects the residents might be working on.

Stuart Fraser, organiser of The ExtraCare Charitable Trust 2021 raffle, said:

“It’s thanks to suppliers, local businesses, friends and contacts that we are able to make this possible each year and make an extra difference to the residents. This year, Sunley Court are spending their half of the proceeds on items for the garden area, ready for spring and summer for the residents to enjoy sitting out and soaking up the sun.

“It’s always a nice thing to organise and be part of and we thank Rolton Group and everyone else who contributed prizes and bought tickets for helping and being part of this with us. Without your help we really couldn’t do it at all.”
