91-93 Charterhouse Street
Stone King LLP
On the basis of a strong recommendation from one of our existing London-based clients, Rolton Group was appointed to provide mechanical and electrical building engineering services to established law firm Stone King LLP in their move to new open-plan offices spanning 10,000 sq. ft. in Charterhouse Street, located in the City’s financial district.
This move to larger premises allowed the firm to accommodate its significant growth and to configure the new space, providing enhanced communications technology and flexible working space for employees and clients.
Rolton Group’s involvement started off as a desktop review exercise of the Category A base build proposals from the landlords consultant and contracting team. As the project evolved, Stone King LLP requested that we come on-board to compile a project performance design brief for their fit-out contract to provide a concise set of employer’s requirements for tendering and procurement of their Category B contract.
Rolton Group’s performance design included elements such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, small power, access control, intruder alarm and fire detection and alarm systems, all of which were designed with the client’s drivers and requirements for high quality and flexibility in mind. The rooftop has also been refurbished to provide the building and tenants with an external break out and entertaining space.
Rolton Group’s Associate Director Craig Smith commented on the completion of the project:
"The benefit of Rolton Group’s early involvement in the project made the understanding of the landlord base build and how this needed to be adapted a relatively seamless process".
