Rolton Group provided geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services. As part of the commission, the team also undertook the role of BREEAM assessor and prepared a full building thermal dynamic model including Part L compliance.

Features of the new build included a new data/communications room, staff cafeteria, open-plan offices, and cellular offices/meeting rooms. Materials removed from the existing car park on-site were utilised to provide foundations for the new building.

Special features included air source heat pumps providing heating and cooling and lighting control incorporating daylight and presence detection. Small power and data are distributed under floor using three phase and neutral underfloor power track systems with flexible tap offs connected to modular floor boxes.
