BMW, iConcept Showroom
This flagship dealership in Central London for the ‘BMW i’ brand of electric vehicles used high-quality products and services throughout to achieve a retail and office unit in fitting to its prime location on Park Lane.
The ground floor comprised entirely of showroom space where a ‘clean’ look was required to fit with the BMW brand. Consequently all services were hidden within ceiling voids and access panels sympathetically located.
Also at ground floor was a living ‘green wall’ feature, requiring specific services for irrigation, drainage and lighting.
The lower ground floor of the project included office space for a number of BMW employees and a conference room for visiting BMW management teams.
Situated in the heart of London, space was at a premium and while achieving all the above requirements, services were required to be installed within very tight confines.
Rolton Group provided a detailed design for the M&E services and provided a quality monitoring role on site through to completion.
In support of their role as primary partners for the London 2012 Olympic Games, BMW displayed concept i3 and i8 cars in their 56 Park Lane showroom.
