Oxford Brookes University - Remedial work

For more than ten years, Rolton Group has worked with Oxford Brookes University’s (OBU) estates management team on a long-term programme of structural remedial work and refurbishment at the Headington Hill Hall Campus.

Headington Hill Hall is a Grade II listed building. Rolton Group has conducted surveys to identify the need for structural remedy and advised on priorities. Rolton Group provide OBU with remedial works proposals for tendering, liaises with the planning authority and carries out site inspections to ensure compliance with works specified.

Rolton team has carried out structural, assessment and feasibility studies, remedial underpinning, remedy of structural movement within stone facades, assessments of boundary walling conditions, safety and chimney stack assessments. RGL has also devised tailored regimes of safety monitoring, to defer remedial work to suit the OBU budget.

Rolton Group provide surveying, structural engineering, CDM coordination and contract administration roles for such remedial projects and has expertise regarding the specific factors relating to work on listed buildings.
